Researcher
Judy Gutierrez, M.H.A., is a Researcher at L&M Policy Research. She has extensive experience in project management, health administration, data collection, and working to advance health equity for marginalized communities. In her role at L&M, Ms. Gutierrez collaborates closely with project teams, leading and supporting various qualitative research studies and ensuring project deliverables are completed. She supports the design and execution of research protocols, including primary data collection with healthcare consumers in Spanish and English. Currently, Ms. Gutierrez supports consumer testing research projects for Healthcare.gov and Medicare.gov, utilizing focus groups, in-depth interviews, and small group discussions to enhance web tool usability and develop effective communication strategies.
Before joining L&M, Ms. Gutierrez managed a federally funded program focused on improving health access and outcomes for Latinos across the country. Her previous work includes program coordination and implementation, stakeholder collaboration, and support of health communication, advocacy, and outreach efforts. She also has experience coordinating graduate medical programs and conducting qualitative research in compliance with Institutional Review Board requirements. She is dedicated to making meaningful contributions to the field of public health and policy research.
Ms. Gutierrez holds a Master of Health Administration in Health Systems Management from the George Mason University College of Public Health, and two Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Forensic Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.
