Colleen Dobson, M.S., is a senior researcher at L&M. Ms. Dobson has more than a decade of experience conducting qualitative research to support health care communication and evaluation projects, with a particular focus on Medicare and the Health Insurance Marketplace.
She has conducted hundreds of in-depth interviews and focus groups with consumer audiences, including Medicare beneficiaries, caregivers, Marketplace enrollees, uninsured individuals, and individuals with disabilities and chronic conditions, as well as key informant interviews with information intermediaries, consumer groups, providers, and state/local governments.
Ms. Dobson is currently managing a consumer research contract for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to support the development and refinement of Medicare decision-support tools. She has conducted dozens of projects aimed at improving communication about Medicare coverage, choice, and quality, and has been working on Marketplace consumer research since the launch of HealthCare.gov. She also contributes to several of the firm’s Medicare policy evaluation and technical assistance projects.
Ms. Dobson holds an M.S. from the Harvard School of Public Health and a B.A. in psychology from the University of Delaware.
