The Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ) has awarded L&M and partner, AcademyHealth, a contract to support implementation of the agency’s Pediatric Quality Measures Program Learning Collaborative (PQMP-LC). Through the PQMP-LC, L&M will provide scientific and logistical support to multi-stakeholder PQMP grantee partnership teams focused on pediatric quality measurement and improvement in care of children in Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Goals of this task order include:

  • Improving the understanding of best practices for implementation of pediatric quality measures to drive improvements in care for children;
  • Identifying and understanding contextual,and other, barriers and facilitators (within and across grantee teams) that can impact measure uptake and quality improvement (QI) efforts at multiple levels;
  • Supporting grantee teams in quality measurement and improvement efforts and fostering collaboration; and
  • Promoting dissemination of PQMP learnings regarding implementation of measures and quality improvement efforts to both public and private entities.

These goals will be achieved through a range of activities, including: literature reviews, case studies, QI toolkits, use of an implementation science framework, expert webinars and forums, and development of manuscripts for a special journal supplement.

The contract will run from March 20, 2019 through March 19, 2021.
