Research Assistant
Amanda Dranch is a research assistant at L&M with experience in qualitative research in sociology and health policy. At L&M, she provides support in client management, environmental scans, developing and executing qualitative research protocols, and conducting primary data collection on projects for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC), and private sector clients.
Ms. Dranch supports the CMS evaluation of the Home Health Value-Based Purchasing Model, and the CMS Office of Minority Health’s efforts to advance health equity. She also provides qualitative research support for a MedPAC study on inpatient psychiatric facility billing and a private sector study on implementation of the information blocking provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act.
Prior to joining L&M, Ms. Dranch interned for multiple community- and health-oriented non-profits, including Destined For Greatness Outreach Youth Center, We Are Wendo, and Cuala Foundation.
Ms. Dranch holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, summa cum laude, with a Highest Honors designation on her senior thesis from Emory University.
