Yvonne Wingard is a Research Assistant at L&M. Ms. Wingard has research experience in health care policy and health disparities for underserved and marginalized communities. At L&M, she provides qualitative research support for several projects based out of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Currently, she is working on dissemination of the Pediatric Quality Measures Program (PQMP) Learning Collaborative findings and review of public comments for the CMS Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) regulations. She also provides programmatic and analytic support for the CMS Office of Minority Health in building a business case for addressing health disparities through environmental scans and the dissemination of the Disparities Cost Calculator.
Prior to joining L&M, Ms. Wingard interned at the Rhode Island state health insurance exchange supporting the plan rates and benefits section. She also interned with a community non-profit which focuses on housing equity, community engagement, and public health support in Rhode Island. In the health policy realm, she functioned as a research assistant on two issue briefs regarding prompt payment insurance laws and physician recruitment and retention programs for the Mississippi State Legislature.
Ms. Wingard holds a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in Public Health from Brown University.
